Remember these 3 tips to optimize your social media posts

1. Pick an audience

There are a lot of social media networks online. As a business, you don’t need to have an account with all of them. Instead, pick a few social networks that are most likely to have your ideal demographic. Master those specific channels and to see business success.

Which social media networks are the best? That highly depends on your target audience. Some social demographics will offer more value to you compared to others. For example, if you sell life insurance, the Vine social network (which targets young people) will not be a worthwhile investment of time. On the other hand, if your business wants to reach more millenials, it would be a good idea to focus your efforts Instagram and Facebook. Lastly, if you depend heavily on B2B sales, LinkedIn is easily a top contender.

2. Pick a social network that you like

Social media marketing is more than a profile on a website. It can be time consuming and requires consistent attention. To make it easy, pick a social media platform that you like to use (and have resources that can contribute to it). If you like taking pictures, find a network (like Instagram or Snapchat) that emphasizes that activity. If you like making videos, try using YouTube or Vine.

3. Post at the right time

To effectively market your company on social media sites, you need to make a plan and stick to it. Successful marketing strategies build momentum over time. If time is something your company has very little of to spare, you can still make it work by optimizing how and when you post.

Each social network has an optimal time and method to post updates. So, if you only have a short amount of time, spend it during those peak hours where you’ll have the highest payoff.

Plan your strategy, find a rhythm, and stick with it to get the best results.
